Penthouse 12, Boston

This Boston penthouse renovation transformed a dark galley kitchen into a bright open-concept living space featuring Dura Supreme frameless cabinetry, waterfall quartz countertops, white oak accents, and stunning views of the Charlestown Navy Yard.

Project Overview:This full penthouse renovation in Boston, Massachusetts transformed a dated condominium into a bright, contemporary living space designed around one of the property's most valuable features: its stunning views of the Charlestown Navy Yard. CDI Kitchens managed the complete condo remodel, reimagining the layout to create an open-concept living environment that maximizes natural light, improves functionality, and enhances the home's connection to the surrounding waterfront setting.

At the heart of the renovation is a completely redesigned kitchen featuring Dura Supreme contemporary frameless cabinetry with sleek white slab doors. Dramatic black Emtek cabinet pulls provide striking contrast throughout the space, while select handleless cabinet doors maintain the kitchen's clean, minimalist aesthetic. Warm white oak accent cabinetry and open niche storage were thoughtfully incorporated to add visual interest, complement the new white oak flooring, and soften the modern palette. The renovation required the removal of a structural wall and an existing fireplace, opening the kitchen and dining areas into a spacious eat-in kitchen designed for modern living and entertaining. What was once a small galley kitchen and dark dining room is now a bright, expansive gathering space centered around the spectacular city and waterfront views.

Luxury details throughout the kitchen include quartz countertops with a waterfall island, a dedicated coffee bar niche, a built-in dog bowl station, and minimalist black-framed glass cabinetry for displaying glassware and decorative pieces. Every element was carefully considered to maximize storage, improve daily functionality, and create a sophisticated contemporary aesthetic.

This Boston penthouse renovation demonstrates how thoughtful design, structural remodeling, and premium materials can dramatically transform a luxury condominium, increasing both livability and long-term property value while taking full advantage of an exceptional urban setting.
