Chuancy Lane, Cambridge

Project Overview: This custom kitchen remodel in Cambridge, Massachusetts combines the warmth of mid-century modern design with the precision and sophistication of contemporary Italian cabinetry. CDI Kitchens supplied and installed Pedini Italian cabinetry and quartz countertops, creating a highly personalized space defined by premium materials, seamless integration, and exceptional craftsmanship.

The kitchen features a striking combination of white oak slab cabinetry and specialty oxidized metal lacquer finishes, enhanced by complementary accent finishes incorporated into the handleless cabinet grooves. The result is a clean, minimalist aesthetic that showcases the beauty of natural materials while maintaining a refined contemporary feel.

One of the home's most unique features is a custom integrated door leading to the powder room, concealed within the cabinetry and wall paneling for a seamless architectural appearance. White oak paneling extends beyond the cabinetry and continues across the ceiling, incorporating recessed lighting to create a cohesive and immersive design experience. Complementary finishes were also carried into the adjoining dining area, where a custom floating buffet and built-in storage piece reinforce the home's unified design language.

This Cambridge kitchen renovation demonstrates how luxury Italian cabinetry, custom millwork, and thoughtful architectural detailing can transform a space into a sophisticated, functional centerpiece for modern living.
